We’re so excited to be visiting Bangkok this week to deliver our first international training course. We’ve been commissioned to train one of the local marketing teams for Beam Suntory, off the back of the success of the marketing capability training we delivered for them in the UK back in 2021.
The course we’re delivering is called ‘Brand Building 101’, a bespoke version of our flagship course, ‘The Key to Brand Management’.
What we covered
In a nutshell, we covered what the Beam Suntory team needs to know about marketing and everything they need to be a brilliant marketer. Topics included brand building, the growth planning cycle, situation analysis, consumer understanding, activity selection and KPIs and creative development.
We went to great lengths to tailor our content to not just the client and the spirits category, but also to the local markets.
This included commissioning two experienced local marketers from our network to write and deliver a module on ‘Marketing in dark markets’, which helped the team to understand the different regulations surrounding alcohol marketing across the region, and how they can work with them successfully. We also used our local associates to great effect in a live panel Q+A, addressing specific questions from the audience. Finally, we invited an experienced Japanese marketer to share his philosophy on brand marketing.
These efforts significantly enhanced the relevance and practicality of the course and made it uniquely tailored to them. It makes the world of difference because the more relevant the materials are the better the messages land and the more easily the delegates can apply their learnings.
What our client has to say
We were delighted to receive this testimonial from Nick Ganich, Marketing Director for Southeast Asia at Beam Suntory:
“Locksmith have been fantastic in helping to upskill my team and myself. They have delivered several marketing courses for us in the UK and most recently in Asia. Each time Chris and team carefully tailored their curriculum to our needs, prepared very thoroughly and went an extra mile to deliver to the brief (or a few thousand extra miles in case of Bangkok!).”
