Briefing is critical if you want great work. But briefing is hard and most people aren’t taught how to do it properly. In fact, many marketers are criticised for writing poor briefs by their agencies, as you’ll see in this report by The Better Briefs Project. ‘Unlock Amazing Briefs’ is here to fix that!
With over 13 years of experience in managing clients in various agencies from the creative industry such as Pearlfisher, Margot knows a thing or two about being on the receiving end of briefs, both good and bad.
Ben has an impressive career, spanning 32 years, as a Creative Director. He created long running and multi award winning campaigns for Honda, Paddy Power, Spotify, Lurpak, Nat West, COI and Nokia to name a few. His work on Honda resulted recently in being awarded the accolade of the greatest TV ad ever by The Drum for ‘Cog’. His passion for cooking helped him create the everlasting Lurpak campaign which is now in its 16th year at W&K. His passion for sport and sports betting makes working with Sky Bet for the last six years a joy. His work for Visit Wales ignited his passion for Pembrokeshire which he visits on a regular basis.
Paul has a wealth of experience with over 20 years working in Account Management at creative agency giants including DDB, BBH & Grey. During this time, he has worked on a wide variety of amazing brands including Morrisons, Kwik-Fit, Volkswagen, Budweiser, McDonalds, Barclaycard, Weetabix and many more. Paul is currently the Chief Growth Officer for Publicis Poke. Paul is a big devourer of all the TV sports and has also been known to play the bagpipes.
Billy has 11 years experience working in the Creative industry as a Graphic Designer. Having worked agency-side for clients such as Adidas, Fitbit and Diageo, he now works client-side for Fever-Tree as the Lead In-house Graphic Designer. Billy knows first-hand what it is like to receive and try to understand a brief from the marketing team and shares with us his thoughts. Outside of work Billy is a keen sportsman, incredibly amateur musician and lover of stand-up comedy
